U kyaw Swar Soe, the FWPB President,
who visited Japan(August, 2013)

U kyaw Swar Soe, the President of the MFDP (Farmers Wealth Public Bank Limited) revisited Japan (his previous visit was in August 2013) at the invitation of our foundation.
When he visited Prime Minister Abe on August 21st, he asked for Japanese support for the modernization of Myanmar agriculture, which provides the livelihood of 70% of the country‘s population.

■Exchange with FWPB

SAFA Agreed with the Document which was Signed by FWPB
and APAID and Structured Cooperative Relationship

FWPB and APAID is agreed with and signed the document when U kyaw Swar Soe visited to Japan.
SAFA reached agreement with FWPB and APAID to promote friendship based on this agreements.
Myanmar is major agricultural country which food self-sufficiency rate is more than 130 %.
For this purpose, SAFA agreed to introduce to Japanese companies for contributing the development in Myanmar, support for development of human resources and improvement especially in agricultural field, and support acceptance of trainees and dispatchment of specialists by Japanese government and nonofficial organizatons.

2014.4.24: We exchanged opinions with Mr. Sai Ike Pangu and a tribal representative. These two people from Myanmar and SAFA chairman Shimanuki reached a tripartite agreement in response to a request concerning a project under discussion.
